Steel Metallurgy & Copper Etching
Laboratory and machine-operation understanding of the heat treatment of steel and ferritic metals; able to accurately measure case depth and effective case depth and hardness, compound layer depth and hardness, core hardness, and more, utilizing lab instruments such as Rockwell Hardness Testers and Leco Microscopes. Significant knowledge of imperative heat treatment processes such as ferritic nitrocarburizing (FNC), nitriding, tempering and normalizing, and deep-freezing.
